HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Crystal Bowersox has tied the knot!
The 25-year-old American Idol star and fellow musician Brian Walker got married Sunday in Chicago, People reports.
"Our lives have never made more sense than they do right now," Bowersox, who reportedly wore an Earth-friendly hemp and cotton gown, told the mag. "I can’t believe how incredibly lucky we are to have found so much laughter, love, and light within each other. We’re one happy WalkerSox family."
The longtime friends tied the knot less than a month after getting engaged. They exchanged vows at the same club they met at six years ago during an Open Mic Night.
This is the first marriage for Bowersox, who has a 1½-year-old son named Tony from a previous relationship.
The wedding comes just months after Bowersox famously broke up with her longtime boyfriend Tony Kusian in the hours before her final Idol performance.
In May, the Ohio native finished as the runner-up to Lee DeWyze on the latest cycle of Idol, becoming the first female to reach the show’s finale since Jordin Sparks in 2007. A month later, Bowersox signed with 19 Recordings/Jive Records to release her debut album, which is expected to drop later this year.
