The new charges, announced Monday by Middlesex County prosecutors, come after Darryl McCauley, 43, pleaded not guilty in March to eight counts of larceny over $250, forgery and larceny by continuous scheme at a Massachusetts hearing.

Prosecutors claim that McCauley swiped the dough while working as Cook’s business manager, a role that earned him $12,500 per month from March 2004 and December 2008.

McCauley’s wife, Erika, has also pleaded not guilty to charges that she helped her husband in the scheme.

In April, Cook spoke out about the December arrest of his half brother during an appearance on “Larry King Live.”

“It’s a terrible betrayal,” Cook said of the embezzlement charges. “But hopefully justice will be served and I can move on with my life.”

Cook told King that everything seemed to happen overnight.

“I worked with my only half brother for several years. Woke up one day and a lot of stuff missing,” he explained. “There is a good chunk of money that is certainly not accounted for. That’s all I can say about it at this point.”

When asked by the host how he’s handling the alleged betrayal, Cook said: “Dance. Larry, you dance.”
