HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Denise Richards is set to star in a still untitled reality show for E! Entertainment Television.
The new reality series, which will debut this summer, will follow the 36-year-old Richards' life as a single mom after her well-publicized divorce from actor Charlie Sheen. Sheen and Richards went to court in Los Angeles last month reportedly over their two children, Sam, 3, and Lola, 2, appearing on the show. Sheen was said to be opposed to the idea, but a judgement was said to be made in favor of Richards and the children appearing on the new series.
"At the core of this series is a resilient single mom who is trying to get her life back on track," Lisa Berger, executive VP of original programming and series development for E!, tells Variety.
The new show will be produced by Ryan Seacrest, who is also behind another successful E! reality series, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Richards and Sheen married in 2002 and first separated in 2005. The former couple has engaged in a very public divorce battle over the years in which the actress has made several allegations against the "Two and a Half Men" star. Among the allegations by Richards previously revealed in court documents are accusations that Sheen "inappropriately" touched their daughters — claims he has vehemently denied.
