Other notable winners at the British equivalent of the Grammy Awards included Kanye West and Katy Perry, who won International Male Solo Artist and International Female Solo Artist honors, respectively.
Despite receiving four nominations, Coldplay went home without a victory.
Just as they did at the recent Grammys, U2 kicked off the show by performing their new single, “Get On Your Boots.”
The Pet Shop Boys, who were honored with the outstanding contribution to music award, wrapped up the show by performing a medley of their hits with a little help from Lady Gaga and Brandon Flowers of The Killers.
