Eddie Vedder Embarking on Solo West Coast Concert Tour

Eddie Vedder, live, concert, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Eddie Vedder is venturing out on his first solo concert tour this spring thanks to his well-received Monkeywrench/J soundtrack for the film “Into the Wild.”

“This will be an amazing opportunity for fans to see Eddie Vedder in such intimate settings,” RCA Music Group VP of A&R/marketing Matt Shay tells Billboard.com. “Working with Eddie on the music from ‘Into the Wild’ has been an honor, and the tour will be a true highlight for all of us.”

Vedder’s short west-coast swing will begin April 2 in Vancouver, Canada. Liam Finn will be opening for the Pearl Jam frontman.

The “Into the Wild” soundtrack has sold 243,000 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The single “Guaranteed” from the film, which was directed by Sean Penn, recently won the Golden Globe for best original song.
