HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Heidi Montag is hoping to reinvent herself behind her debut album Superficial, which finally dropped on Tuesday after three years in the studio.
“People are just getting to know a whole new Heidi,” the 23-year-old Hills star tells People. “I put my heart into this music and it’ll really show.”
Montag says all of that hard work will hopefully lead her down a unique musical path.
“I want to make the new 2010 version of a pop star,” she said. “I want to become a galaxy star.”
One person definitely in her corner is husband Spencer Pratt, who has been touting the release on his Twitter page.
“Heidi Montag Best Pop Album,” read one message posted Tuesday.
