HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — 
Helio Castroneves and his girlfriend Adriana Henao have welcomed a baby girl, the race car driver announced Monday on Twitter.
“Mikaella was born!!!!,” wrote the 34-year-old Castroneves.
The couple’s first child weighed in at 7 pounds, 3 ounces and measured 19 inches long.
Much like her father’s speedy ways around the track, Mikaella arrived more than a week before her due date.
Castroneves first announced the pregnancy in October during an interview with the Indianapolis Star. He discovered a baby was on the way in May, two days prior to winning the pole for the Indianapolis 500 — a race he went on to capture for the third time.
The former Dancing With the Stars contestant also confessed that it’s been an emotional year for him after being acquitted of federal tax evasion charges in April.
“This year started very difficult, the middle was kind of a ‘Wow!’ and now this,” he said. “This is a great ending for the book.”
