HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Harrison Ford may want to start polishing up on his French.
The much-anticipated “Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull” is planning to premiere at the Cannes Film Festival on May 18, Variety reports.
The 65-year-old Ford will be starring in his first Indy adventure in 19 years when the film hits screens later this year. The action-adventure sequel is slated to open worldwide on May 22.
Paramount, along with filmmakers George Lucas and Steven Spielberg, have kept a tight lid on the film, which also stars Shia LaBeouf, Cate Blanchett and Karen Allen. Spielberg is still wrapping up editing and scoring for the movie and no one has witnessed the final product yet.
Spielberg was last at Palais for his 1982 classic “E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial.” The famous festival originated in 1939.
