HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jerry O’Connell says he and his wife Rebecca Romijn are hoping to join Hollywood’s baby boom.
“We’re trying to get pregnant,” the 34-year-old actor revealed to People at the Much Love Animal Rescue’s 2nd annual Bow Wow Wow event, held Saturday at the Playboy Mansion.

“We’re trying to get pregnant,” the 34-year-old actor revealed to People at the Much Love Animal Rescue’s 2nd annual Bow Wow Wow event, held Saturday at the Playboy Mansion.
“It would be amazing if it happened,” he added. I hope it does.”
O’Connell admitted that trying to get pregnant is “a lot of fun.” He also confessed that he’s already in training for when fatherhood calls his name, referring to his work with the couple’s dogs Taco and Better.
“Pets are training for kids,” he said, referring to his furry family as “our babies.”
O’Connell and Romijn recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary on July 14, however they were on opposite ends of the coasts and unable to spend the day together.
“Being apart, you want to make the most of your time together,” he said. “And we really have a lot of fun together.”
Saturday wasn’t the first time O’Connell has spoken out about the couple’s wishes to have children. In November, he told USA Today that “it’s never as easy as everybody thinks.”
“When you’re married to Rebecca, you should try to have as many children as possible,” he explained to the paper. “And I want to do that before she figures out that she could do a lot better than me.”
