HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Get ready for some more GTL!
The cast of MTV’s surprise hit Jersey Shore has signed on for a second season, the network announced Friday.
Pauly Delvecchio, Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi, Jenni “J-WOWW” Farley, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, Ronnie Margo and Vinny Guadagnino will all “escape the cold Northeast and find themselves in a new destination” when the new season kicks off in the summer, MTV said.
“Our audience has fallen in love with Jersey Shore and its amazing cast who have really grown together as a family,” said MTV’s president of programming Tony DiSanto. “That bond gives the show its heart, and we’re thrilled to reunite these friends to bring fans more of what they love — laughs, love, drama and of course, GTL.”
One person thrilled with the news is everyone’s favorite party girl, Snooki.
“I honestly didn’t know if we were going to do the second season,” she told MTV. “I wasn’t sure, but I’m really excited. I can’t wait. I’m really happy they brought us back.
So what should fans expect in the new batch of 12 episodes?
“Well, the Snooki fans should be very excited, ’cause I was the last one to leave last season,” said Snooki. “So, I hope I’m the first one in the house [on season two]. They should expect more pickle eating, more drunken fights … just crazy stuff.”
Fans wanting to relive the memorable first season can watch a marathon of the series airing just prior to the Super Bowl next Sunday.
