SYDNEY — Jimmy Buffett was rushed to the hospital Wednesday after he fell off the stage during a concert in Australia.
The 64-year-old singer suffered a head injury when he fell at the end of his encore, an eyewitness tells the Australian newspaper The Daily Telegraph.
Buffett was reportedly taken to St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he is said to be in a stable condition.
"The doctors say he is doing well and will be released tomorrow," his rep said in a statement Wednesday. "More info as we get it, and thank you for all of your well-wishes!"
The show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion was part of Buffett’s ongoing "Welcome to Fin Land" tour, which is scheduled to hit the U.S. in April.
