SYDNEY — Jimmy Buffett has been released from the hospital after he fell off the stage during a concert Wednesday night in Australia.
The "Margaritaville" singer is said to be "doing well" after being released Thursday, according to a statement posted on his official Web site.
Buffett, 64, suffered a head injury when he fell at the end of his encore song, "Lovely Cruise." The singer was treated at St. Vincent’s Hospital, where he reportedly received several stitches for a cut to his head.
The show at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion was part of Buffett’s ongoing "Welcome to Fin Land" tour, which is scheduled to hit the U.S. in April.
