The 23-year-old aspiring singer was sent packing this morning after being chosen Wednesday night as one of 36 finalists for “Idol’s season 8.

The 23-year-old aspiring singer was sent packing this morning after being chosen Wednesday night as one of 36 finalists for “Idol’s season 8.
“It has been determined that Joanna Pacitti is ineligible to continue in the competition. ‘American Idol’ contestant Felicia Barton has replaced Ms. Pacitti as part of the top 36,” the network said in a statement.
Much has been made of Pacitti’s questionable amateur past, including a former record deal and her connections to 19 Entertainment, the group behind the hit Fox reality competition.
