HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Justin Bieber is soaking up every minute of being a teenage heartthrob.
“I like it,” the 15-year-old singer told New York’s Z100 of constantly being surrounding by screaming fans. “Who wouldn’t want girls waiting for you?”
While he loves the attention, Bieber admits it can be challenging at times because he’s claustrophobic. As for his Hollywood crushes, the Canadian star said he only has eyes for the taken Beyoncé. When pressed about dating someone closer to his age like Miley Cyrus, Bieber said he wouldn’t be interested.
“Noooooooo! Not my type,” he said of Cyrus. “She’s cool. She’s nice. She’s really talented.”
When the host TJ continued to pressure him for a name, Bieber finally caved.
“I know you’re trying to get this answer out of me,” he replied. “I think Selena Gomez is pretty, but I don’t like her. I think she is cute. I think she is a cutie.”
So what type of girl catches his eye?
“I look for just a nice, laid-back funny girl who can make me laugh,” said Bieber, who recently debuted his “Baby” music video. “Or just funny, down to earth and have a good smile.”
As for keeping his head on straight, Bieber said he isn’t worried about letting fame get the best of him.
Said Bieber: “I have so many great people surrounding me. I’m pretty sure I’m not going to go down the wrong path.
