HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — After making a big splash with Britney Spears, "How I Met Your Mother" is returning to "reality."
The CBS sitcom has lined up some of the biggest stars in reality TV land for an upcoming episode, having signed on Kim Kardashian from "Keeping Up with the Kardashians," Kendra Wilkinson from "The Girls Next Door," and Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt from "The Hills."
According to People, the four guest stars will be playing themselves in fantasy sequences involving Jason Segel's character Marshall.
"I am beyond exited to be taping an episode of 'How I Met Your Mother.' I absolutely love the show and am thrilled for this fabulous opportunity," the 28-year-old Kardashian told the magazine.
The reality stars appeared on set Wednesday to tape their guest appearances.
The network has yet to announce when the episode will air.
Spears helped bring record ratings to the show with a well-publicized appearance as a receptionist earlier this year. She later reprised her role and the door has been left open for a possible return in the future.
