NEW YORK — Kelly McGillis and her longtime girlfriend, Melanie Leis, have wed.
The couple, who met in 2000, joined in a civil union on Wednesday in Collingswood, N.J., the New York Times reports.
The twosome met when Leis worked as a bartender at a Florida restaurant McGillis owned with her second husband, Fred Tillman, with whom she has two daughters, Kelsey Laure, 20, and Sonora Ashley, 17.
The twice-divorced McGillis came out as a lesbian last year.
The 53-year-old actress is best known for starring opposite Tom Cruise in Top Gun. Other notable films in her career include Witness and The Accused.
