LOS ANGELES — CBS 2 L.A. correspondent Serene Branson slurred her speech during a live Grammys report Sunday night, leading some to believe she may have suffered a stroke on-air.
A disturbing video shows the award-winning reporter stumbling over words before her station cuts away.
"Serene Branson was examined by paramedics on scene immediately after her broadcast," CBS 2 said Monday. "Her vital signs were normal. She was not hospitalized. As a precautionary measure, a colleague gave her a ride home and she says that she is feeling fine this morning."
Several websites initially mocked Branson’s video, which made others rush to her defense.
"Sending my best to Serene Branson that she’s ok," Kim Baldonado, a fellow local reporter, wrote on Twitter. "It doesn’t sound like it’s anything to laugh about."
