HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lauren Conrad admits that she struggles with trust because she’s felt betrayed by her friends in the past.
“At this point, I have to question every person that wants to have a relationship with me, whether it’s a friendship or a romantic relationship,” she reveals in the latest issue of Us Weekly.
The 22-year-old reality TV star has been caught in the middle of plenty in the past, including her ex-boyfriend Brody Jenner stepping out with a new girlfriend right after she ventured to Paris.
“I want to say I can always trust my good friends that I’ve had forever, but at the same time, some of my oldest friends have betrayed me,” the “Hills” star says.
When asked about Jenner, Conrad says, “You always have to question, ‘Why wasn’t I good enough?'”
“It’s disappointing to have to question relationships,” she adds.
Watching her best pal Audrina Patridge patch things up with Heidi Montag, Conrad’s former BFF, has also been challenging she admits.
Says Conrad: “Audrina has to remind me that she’s not someone who’s going to betray me.”
