HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lauren Graham is returning to the small screen.
The 42-year-old actress has joined the cast of NBC’s “Parenthood,” where she’ll assume the role originally intended for Maura Tierney, Variety reports.
Last month, Tierney dropped out of playing the financially-strapped single mom on “Parenthood,” a take-off of the 1989 film of the same name, in order to continue her treatments for breast cancer.
Graham became a household name with her role on the long-running WB series “Gilmore Girls.”
She joins a star-studded cast that includes Peter Krause, Craig T. Nelson, Dax Shepard, Bonnie Bedelia, Monica Potter and Erika Christensen.
