HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Levi Johnston is hoping to extend his 15 minutes of fame with a new reality show documenting his run for mayor of Wasilla, Alaska – a post previously held by his almost mother-in-law, Sarah Palin.
According to Variety, Johnston will star in Loving Levi: The Road to the Mayor’s Office, a series that will follow his political campaign and Hollywood aspirations, as well as his life as father to Palin’s grandson, Tripp.
Veteran reality firm Stone and Co. has already started shooting the show’s pilot and is currently pitching the program to networks. Johnston said he’s hopeful the series will change the public’s perception of him.
"It’s hard to figure me out," the former Playgirl cover model admitted to the trade publication. "You’ve got to follow me around. I’m very different. I lead a crazy life. But it will basically be both worlds, my life in Hollywood and back home, the real country boy that I am."
Johnston has been busy of late shooting a music video with R&B singer Brittani Senser. The pair attended Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards together.
