LONDON — Don't expect to see Lily Allen and Elton John hosting another awards show together anytime soon.
The duo got into a heated exchange Monday night while hosting the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London, The Times of London reports.
The incident began when Allen started to slur her words after a few too many sips of champagne on stage. When the 23-year-old told the audience, "now we reach a very special point in the evening," John responded: "What, you are going to have another drink?"
"F*** off Elton, I'm 40 years younger than you, I have my whole life ahead of me," Allen fired back.
"I could still snort you under the table," replied the 61-year-old "Rocket Man."
"F*** off. I don't know what you are talking about," responded Allen.
The verbal fire took place in front of an audience that included the likes of Gordon Ramsay, Thandie Newton and Elle MacPherson.
In addition to taking on the music legend, Allen may also have picked a fight closer to home. While introducing her brother Alfie's girlfriend Jaime Winstone, she referred to the actress as "my very soon-to-be sister-in-law."
The couple had previously kept a tight lid on their wedding plans.
