According to the Associated Press, Lohan, 23, must give a two-hour deposition after her probation violation hearing on July 6. The answers will be used in a civil lawsuit that was filed against the actress by Tracie Rice, who was a passenger in a car Lohan was allegedly chasing in July 2007.

Rice is suing the actress for assault, negligence and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The case is scheduled to go to trial in late July.

Lohan was arrested for DUI and cocaine possession following the car chase on the Pacific Coast Highway.

Rice’s attorney, Paul Hoffman, told AP the questions are crucial in helping a jury determine whether Lohan should pay punitive damages if she is found liable.

"This case is about somebody who claims to be sober and had cocaine and blew a DUI for alcohol," said the lawyer.
