HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan is a free woman again.
The 24-year-old actress was released late Friday night from the women’s jail in Lynwood, Calif. after posting $300,000 bail.
Earlier in the day, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Elden S. Fox denied bail for the actress and ordered her held until an Oct. 22 hearing to discuss whether she violated probation in her 2007 DUI case. But Lohan’s attorney challenged the ruling and it was overturned by another judge Friday evening.
Lohan was set free after spending less than 14 hours behind bars. She is now required to wear an alcohol-monitoring bracelet and stay away from places that primarily sell alcohol until the Oct. 22 hearing.
Last weekend, the Mean Girls star admitted to failing a recent drug test, a probation violation that will likely send her back to jail.
