The 24-year-old actress is placing her hopes in the hands of a new attorney, Tiffany Feder-Cohen. However, legal experts say the likelihood of winning an appeal are remote at best.

On Tuesday, Beverly Hills Superior Court Judge Marsha Revel said the troubled star missed seven court-ordered alcohol education classes, violating her probation stemming from a 2007 DUI arrest. Lohan was ordered turn herself in and begin serving her sentence on July 20.
