HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Charlie Sheen was in "a lot of pain" when his neighbor placed the 911 call that led to the actor being rushed to the hospital last week.
On the call tape released Wednesday by the L.A. City Fire Department, Dr. Paul Nassif tells the dispatcher that he received a call from Sheen’s house that he describes as "kind of weird."
"He’s saying don’t call 911," Nassif says. "They got him on the phone and he was very, very intoxicated and also apparently in a lot of pain."
Sheen, 45, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center around 7 a.m. on Jan. 27. He quietly left the hospital hours later and announced plans to enter rehab the following day.
Nassif can be seen starring alongside his wife, Adrienne Maloof-Nassif, on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
