LOS ANGELES — Dakota Culkin, the sister of actor Macaulay Culkin, has died after being struck by a car Tuesday night in Los Angeles, The Associated Press reports.
The 29-year-old Dakota Culkin was stepping into the street when she was hit. She died from massive head injuries at a local hospital yesterday afternoon, AP says.

Dakota Culkin was one of seven siblings in the showbiz family. She recently worked as an art production assistant on the upcoming feature film “Lost Soul.”
“She was a real sweetheart and excited to learn all she could about the film business,” the film’s director, Dana Schroeder, told E! News.
The 28-year-old Macaulay Culkin rose to fame as a child actor in the film “Home Alone.” His rep, Michelle Bega, told AP it was a “terrible tragic accident” before adding that the family had no further comment.
