HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Marcia Cross and husband Tom Mahoney decided against telling their daughters the bad news when Mahoney was diagnosed with cancer last year.
"There’s no point in telling our kids," the 48-year-old actress told People at Friday’s "Stand Up to Cancer" telecast in Los Angeles. "They were so young and anything to them is normal, so they didn’t know things weren’t normal."
"They’re enjoying their life," she adds of 3½-year-old twin Eden and Savannah. "Daddy’s fine. It’s in the past. He has nothing to say."
With Mahoney now on the road to recovery, the Desperate Housewives star is taking pride in how lucky she is.
"My kids are great, work is great, my husband’s really, really fantastic," she says. "I’m very blessed. All of my dreams have come true."
