LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Megan Hauserman is anxious to move forward in her life after seeing her latest reality show canceled when one of the contestants became the subject of a murder investigation.
“Megan Wants a Millionaire” star Ryan Jenkins was the focus of an international manhunt last month shortly after police discovered the mutilated body of his ex-wife, bikini model Jasmine Fiore, in Buena Park, Calif. Jenkins was later found dead of an apparent suicide in a Canadian hotel room.
“It’s been a very challenging time,” Hauserman told People as she prepared to host a party at The Playground in Las Vegas, Nev. on Friday night.
The slick-talking Jenkins was one of several contestants hoping to woo Hauserman on the show, which was eventually canceled by VH1.
“I’m happy to move forward at this point,” said Hauserman, who has also starred on such reality shows as “Beauty and the Geek,” “Rock Of Love 2” and “Charm School 2.” “It’s been a very upsetting, sad, tragic situation that nobody could have expected.”
As for what’s next, the 27-year-old Hauserman plans to continue her work in front of the camera.
“I really enjoy being on TV and I love my fans,” she said. “I want to continue doing TV work.”
