HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Michael Douglas has been diagnosed with a tumor in his throat, but the actor is expected to make a full recovery.
Douglas, 65, will undergo radiation and chemotherapy treatment for eight weeks, his spokesperson tells People.
"I am very optimistic," Douglas told the mag Monday in a statement.
Douglas won a best actor Oscar for Wall Street in 1987. He will appear in the film's sequel, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, which arrives in theaters on Sept. 24.
