On Monday, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Mitchell Beckloff announced that he has approved a deal between Jackson’s estate, concert promoter AEG Live and Columbia Pictures for a movie, the Associated Press reports.

The movie will feature footage from Jackson’s final rehearsals as he prepared for his comeback concert run at London’s O2 Arena. It may also include videos that were prepared for his “This is It” shows.

Under the terms of the deal, the Jackson family will screen the film in advance to make certain that the music icon is presented in a positive light.

Columbia Pictures paid $60 million for rights to the film, in which Jackson’s estate is expected to take 90 percent of the profits.

The movie will be cut out of more than 100 hours of footage that AEG obtained as Jackson prepared for his expected July comeback.

It will be released worldwide on Oct. 30.

Jackson died on June 25 at his rental home in Holmby Hills, Calif. An exact cause of death has yet to be determined.
