HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Michael Jackson’s burial date has been rescheduled for Sept. 3, his family announced.
A private burial for family and close friends will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Glendale, Calif., where the music icon will be laid to rest in a mausoleum.
The Jackson family had originally planned to bury the King of Pop on what would have been his 51st birthday on Aug. 29.
Jackson died on June 25 after falling ill at his rental home in Holmby Hills, Calif. An official cause of death has yet to be determined.
