HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Fans will soon have a chance to pay their respects to legendary music artist Michael Jackson, who died last Thursday from an apparent cardiac arrest.
According to CNN, a public memorial will take place for Jackson on Friday at his Neverland Ranch, allowing fans to view the late singer’s body at the sprawling estate near Santa Barbara, Calif.
Lt. Butch Arnoldi, a Sheriff’s Department spokesman, tells E! Online that plans are currently being put in place to accommodate large crowds at Neverland.
“Our guys are meeting as we speak with the California Highway Patrol to discuss the security issues,” said Arnoldi.
A private memorial service for Jackson has also been scheduled for Sunday.
