HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Michael Jackson’s new song “This Is It” debuted at midnight Sunday on his official Web site, nearly four months after the music icon died from acute propofol intoxication.
The track is the first song from the upcoming Jackson documentary by the same name, which opens for a two-week limited theatrical release on Oct. 28.
“This Is It” was remixed to feature vocals from Jackson’s brothers and has been billed by Sony as an “exciting moment in music history for one of the world’s most revered artists.”
The King of Pop, who died on June 25, originally recorded the track for his 1991 album, “Dangerous,” but it was left off the release.
The song will be featured on a companion two-disc CD set that will include remastered Jackson classics like “Thriller” and “Billie Jean.”
