HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Mischa Barton has reportedly agreed to a three-year probation sentence for drunk driving, allowing her to avoid jail time, People magazine reports.
According to an unnamed source, “The O.C.” star will be plead no contest to DUI in court this Thursday, stemming from her Dec. 27 arrest in Los Angeles.
The 22-year-old actress will also pay a small fine and be sentenced to an alcohol education class for three months, the source tells People. In addition, Barton will have marijuana possession charges dropped against her, and a driving without a license charge will be reduced to an infraction, the source says.
In January, Barton spoke of her sorrow in an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s KISS-FM radio show.
“I’m really disappointed in myself,” she said. “I don’t know what to say about it, except that I’m not perfect, and I just don’t ever intend to do something this stupid again.”
