HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Nick Jonas has announced the first concert dates for his side project, Nick Jonas & The Administration.
The 17-year-old star and his band will kick off a 14-city tour on Jan. 2 at the House of Blues in Dallas, Texas, with additional stops to include New York, Chicago and Los Angeles.
The concert run will end on Jan. 30 with a gig at the Zellerbach Auditorium in Berkeley, Calif.
Tickets for the tour will go on sale Dec. 5, with presales beginning Tuesday.
Nick Jonas & The Administration includes Jonas Brothers producer John Fields on bass, as well as drummer Michael Bland and keyboardist Tommy Barbarella, both of whom played in Prince's New Power Generation.
The band's debut album, Who I Am, was recorded earlier this year at Nashville's Blackbird Studios. It is scheduled to drop on Feb. 2 via Hollywood Records.
"With this tour we’re going to try to accomplish the same thing we did in the studio," said Jonas. "That's capturing some heart and soul in the music, and having fun doing it."
Earlier this year, Nick and his older brothers, Joe and Kevin, spoke out to quiet rumors that this project signaled the end of The Jonas Brothers.
"We are so proud of our brother Nick," said Joe and Kevin. "We know that we will be doing music together for the rest of our lives. But we are thrilled for you to hear these songs that were on his heart. They are amazing works of art from an amazing talent...our brother. We will see you later this year, next year, and hopefully for the rest of our lives.
"A three chord strand is not easily broken, and one thing's for sure... this three chord strand is stronger now than it's ever been."
