HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Moviegoers have made a commitment to No Strings Attached, which claimed the weekend box office title with $20.3 million in ticket sales, according to studio estimates released Sunday.
The romantic comedy starring Natalie Portman and Ashton Kutcher knocked off last weekend’s top movie, The Green Hornet, which slipped to second place at $18.1 million.
Coming in third place was Ron Howard’s comedy The Dilemma at $9.7 million. The King’s Speech followed just behind at $9.2 million to finish fourth.
The Jeff Bridges and Matt Damon western True Grit rounded out the top five at $8 million.
