GREENVILLE, N.C. — Wiz Khalifa has been arrested on drug charges in North Carolina.
The rapper and 10 of his colleagues were arrested after police smelled marijuana in the backstage area following a performance at East Carolina University Monday night, according to the Associated Press.
Khalifa, whose real name is Cameron Thomaz, was charged with three drug counts. He was released after posting $300,000 bond Tuesday morning.
Before his arrest, the 23-year-old Khalifa teased that a big night was planned on the college campus.
"Smoke outs in greenville nc tonite," the "Black & Yellow" singer wrote on his Twitter page. "Fall thru wit ur finest plant life."
