SAN DIEGO, Calif. — Puck, the rebellious star of MTV’s The Real World: San Francisco, was badly injured in a car accident last week while traveling with his 8-year-old son in San Diego.
According to TMZ, the reality star was driving under the influence when he lost control of his vehicle Friday on Route 79. The car ended up rolling down an embankment and into a creek, where Puck ended up trapped but able to free his son, Bogart, to track down help.
Puck, whose real name is David Rainey, suffered broken bones in both feet, his right hand and his neck. He also fractured his sternum and clavicle. He remains hospitalized and unable to speak, his rep told E! News.
His son reportedly bruised several internal organs and also suffered liver damage in the accident, but has been released from the hospital.
Police say they intend to arrest Puck for DUI after he is released from the hospital. He will also be booked for child endangerment.
TMZ’s initial report said Puck was headed out on a father-son fishing trip when he swerved to avoid a deer.
