HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — George Clooney is still clinging to his bachelor status.
A rep for the actor is shooting down rumors that Clooney is now engaged to girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis, who initiated the chatter over the weekend when she was photographed with a new sparkler as the couple dined in Italy.
Clooney's rep tells Us Weekly that Canalis was simply wearing "a napkin ring."
Clooney, 49, and Canalis, 31, have been dating since last year and the Italian model recently gushed how her love for him has been like a trip down memory lane.
"The idea of being so loved is overwhelming," she told Italy's Vanity Fair. "George has given color back to my life. I feel great — it's as if I am 18 years old again!"
