HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Lindsay Lohan’s busy week in the headlines continued Friday with a report she’s broke and in dire straits financially.
According to TMZ, the 23-year-old actress recently received an eviction notice from her landlord after falling two months behind on her rent, which she has since paid.
While Lohan was able to get current on her rent, sources tell the celebrity gossip site that the future looks bleak since she’s been unable to land any work due to her rumored substance abuse problems.
There’s also concern for the star’s safety after she hit the Hollywood party scene again last night and suffered another public fall to the ground. Earlier this week, several people close to the star said it was urgent Lohan returned to rehab immediately.
"If she doesn’t get help soon, she’s going to die," a professional close to the Mean Girls star told TMZ.
Lohan took to Twitter early Friday to explain some of last night’s events, telling her followers that the security team at Voyeur nightclub set her up and paid off the paparazzi for some snapshots.
"i came to PICK UP MY FRIEND @electraavellan from the back and NOT even go into the club! Yet- I get sold out by guys that I treat with respect and kindness," she wrote. "They got paid off to let paparazzi make me look like I was distraught and a mess, when I was just waiting for my friend at the back door.
"Worse part is, my friends who run the club were a part of the set-up as well. Why?"
