The veteran rock band first bursted onto the music scene in 1992 with the album, “Core.” The release produced several big hits, including “Sex Type Thing,” “Plush,” and “Creep.” They broke up following their fifth release, 2001’s “Shangri – La Dee Da,” when lead singer Scott Weiland’s drug and legal problems began to take a toll on the band.

In addition to Weiland, STP is comprised of guitarist Dean DeLeo, his bass player brother Robert, and drummer Eric Kretz. Weiland, who has been on tour with his other band, Velvet Revolver, recently entered rehab again.

To date, STP has sold more than 30 million albums worldwide.

Rock on the Range will take place over two days (May 17-18) at Columbus Crew Stadium. Other music artists making up the festival line-up are Kid Rock, Disturbed, 3 Doors Down, Staind, Papa Roach and Seether.
