HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Robert Downey Jr. and Jamie Foxx hit the big screen this weekend with the opening of “The Soloist.”
The story revolves around journalist Steve Lopez (Downey) discovering a former classical music prodigy named Nathaniel Anthony Ayers (Foxx) on the streets of L.A., where he’s found playing his violin. As Lopez endeavors to help the homeless man find his way back, a unique friendship is formed that transforms both of their lives.
Directed by Joe Wright, the film also stars Nelsan Ellis, Michael Bunin and Catherine Keener.
