HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Marsha Garces Williams has filed for divorce from her husband of 19 years, actor Robin Williams.
Garces, 51, filed her divorce papers in San Francisco on March 21, according to the San Francisco Chronicle. She cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split.
The couple married in 1989 after Williams, 56, divorced his first wife, Valerie Velardi. Garces had previously worked as a nanny and assistant for Williams, who rose to fame on the hit sitcom “Mork & Mindy.”
Garces and Williams have two children together, daughter Zelda, 18, and son Cody, 16. Williams also has a son, Zachary, 24, from his first marriage.
The couple worked together on several occasions during their marriage, with Garces serving as a producer on Williams’ films “Mrs. Doubtfire,” “Patch Adams” and “Jakob the Liar.”
