NEW YORK — The stars hit the red carpet Wednesday night for the New York City premiere of Shutter Island.
The film’s stars — Leonardo DiCaprio, Mark Ruffalo, Ben Kingsley and Michelle Williams — were all on hand for the star-studded affair held at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
Directed by Martin Scorsese, Shutter Island tells the story of two U.S. marshals, Teddy Daniels and Chuck Aule, who are summoned to a remote and barren island off the coast of Massachusetts to investigate the mysterious disappearance of a murderess from the island’s fortress-like hospital for the criminally insane.
Shutter Island opens Friday in theaters nationwide.
