HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Country music star Sara Evans is now engaged, People.com reports.
The 37-year-old singer, who also appeared on ABC’s “Dancing With the Stars,” plans to tie the knot with boyfriend Jay Barker, the former Alabama star quarterback.
“The couple are enjoying their engagement and look forward to their upcoming nuptials,” Evans’s rep, Lori Genes, tells People.
Evans was previously married to Craig Schelske. The couple divorced last year after 14 years of marriage. They have three children, Avery Jack Lyons, 8, Olivia Margaret, 5, and Audrey Elizabeth, 3.
Barker, 35, led the Crimson Tide to a national championship in 1992. He currently co-hosts a morning radio show, The Opening Drive on WJOX, in Birmingham, along with former Tennessee Titans placekicker Al Del Greco and veteran disc jockey Tony Kurre. Barker has four children from a previous marriage.
Evans and Barker started dating around Thanksgiving last year. The couple have yet to set a wedding date.
