‘SNL’ Newcomer Jenny Slate Won’t Be Fired Over F-Bomb Slip

Jenny Slate, pictures, picture, photos, photo, pics, pic, images, image, hot, sexy, latest, newHOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Jenny Slate made her presence known during her “Saturday Night Live” debut over the weekend, although it wasn’t exactly the grand entrance the show’s executives were looking for.

The 27-year-old newcomer let loose with an F-bomb during a skit in which she and co-star Kristin Wiig appeared as hosts of a biker chick talk-show.

“You know what? You freakin’ just threw an ashtray full of butts at my head,” Slate told Wiig in the skit.

Then, moments later, the comedian dove a bit too far into character when she added: “You know what? You stood up for yourself, and I f—ing love you for that.”

While the F-bomb aired on the East Coast broadcast, the network was able to replace it with “freakin'” by the time it hit the West Coast.

The show’s execs were reportedly less than thrilled, but the network dismissed reports that Slate would be fired over the slip.

“No truth to firing conjecture,” NBC spokeswoman Sharon Pannozzo said. “She will not be fired.”

Slate, an alumnus of the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater, was added to “SNL’s” cast just weeks ago. She was previously seen in “Late Night with Jimmy Fallon’s” parody sketch, “7th Floor West.”

Megan Fox hosted Saturday’s 35th season premiere of “SNL,” which also featured musical guest U2.
