HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Basketball star Marko Jaric took the biggest shot of his life Thursday night, proposing to his supermodel girlfriend Adriana Lima.
The Minnesota Timberwolves shooting guard made the proposal on the Brazilian model’s 27th birthday.
“He asked and she said yes. They are both incredibly happy and couldn’t be more in love,” publicist James Weir tells People magazine.
Lima, 27, and Jaric, 29, have been dating for less than a year.
Jaric, who played on the Serbian National Team when they won the 2002 World Basketball Championships, told People in March that he was swept off his feet by the Victoria’s Secret star, who was discovered in a mall at the age of 13.
“I was not the person to fall in love easily. I am a difficult person from that standpoint,” he said.
