The 19-year-old music sensation took home the honors for “Love Story.”

“This is for everybody who still believes in love stories, because I do,” Swift told the crowd while accepting the Female Video trophy.

The night’s other big winner was Brad Paisley, who won CMT Performance of the Year (Alan Jackson’s “Country Boy” with Jackson, George Strait and Dierks Bentley), Male Video of the Year (“Waitin’ on a Woman”) and Collaboration of the Year for “Start a Band,” his duet with Keith Urban.

Other notable winners included the Rascal Flatts, who won Group Video of the Year for “Every Day,” Sugarland, who took home Duo of the Year for “All I Want to Do,” and the Zac Brown Band, who captured Breakthrough Video honors for “Chicken Fried.”

Crossover artist Kid Rock was also a notable winner, taking home honors for Wide Open Country Video for “All Summer Long.”

“I think this was based on creativity, this award, because what’s more creative than a strip pole on a pontoon boat?” said Kid Rock in reference to the video’s sex-charged theme.

Swift closed the night at Nashville’s Sommet Center when she was joined on stage by Def Leppard for a performance of the rockers hit anthem “Pour Some Sugar On Me.”
