HOLLYWOOD, Calif. — Taylor Swift is playing coy when it comes to answering the question everyone wants to know: is she dating Taylor Lautner?
“I don’t know, he’s an amazing guy and we’re really close … and ah … yep,” the country star tells CMT Radio’s Cody Allan in an interview airing Thursday. “We’re in a movie together and I am really excited about seeing it.”
Swift, 19, and Lautner, 17, sparked romance buzz when they attended Sunday’s Los Angeles Kings hockey game together. They followed that with a dinner date with Swift’s mom the following night. The pair first got close when they shot the upcoming romantic comedy, Valentine’s Day.
“I haven’t seen Valentine’s Day at all,” said Swift. “So hopefully we’ll get to do a private screening because we both wanna see it so bad ’cause our scene was so much fun to do.”
Swift did confess that she’s definitely on “team Jake” when it comes to picking her favorite Twilight character, choosing Lautner’s Jacob or Robert Pattinson’s Edward. The “Love Story” singer also reveals she’s been cramming for her upcoming hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.
“I’m so excited, not sure if I’m ready,” she says. “I try to prepare for everything beyond the extent of preparation. So I have all these ideas for skits, I have like 10 ideas right now, I’m probably gonna walk in there with 35 ideas.”
