LOS ANGELES – It was a star-studded affair at the "Thor" movie premiere held Monday night at the El Capitan Theater in Los Angeles.
Among those hitting the red carpet were Chris Hemsworth, Liam Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo, Elsa Pataky, Kat Dennings, Tom Hiddleston, Jaimie Alexander, Matt Dallas, Clark Gregg, Idris Elba, Gillian Jacobs, Colm Feore, MC Hammer and Peter Facinelli.
Thor, a powerful but arrogant warrior, is sent down to Earth as punishment for reigniting a reckless war. But after a dangerous villain from his world sends the darkest forces of Asgard to invade Earth, the hammer-wielding Thor will learn what it takes to be a true hero in order to save mankind.
"Thor" opens in theaters nationwide on May 6.
